Department of Defense agencies and components can leverage Chronus technology solutions to scale mentoring, connection and development within their ranks

SEATTLE, WA – Chronus, the leading employee-driven development platform, today announced it is the first technology company offering mentoring and employee resource group software to be granted U.S. Department of Defense Impact Level 4 (IL4) Provisional Authorization by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

IL4 Authorization ensures Chronus has met the rigorous security requirements necessary to service the Department of Defense (DoD) which includes the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. IL4 Authorization includes security requirements necessary for processing and storing non-public, unclassified data, including controlled unclassified information (CUI) like personally identifiable information.

This latest achievement will add to Chronus’ growing list of security certifications — SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, and CSA Star — strengthening Chronus’ position as a secure and trusted partner for organizations in both the public and private sectors.

DISA has defined four Impact Levels, reflecting the sensitivity of the information to be stored or processed and the potential impact of an event resulting in the loss of confidentiality, integrity or availability of the information: IL2, IL4, IL5 and IL6.

DISA both develops the security requirements used by the DoD to assess potential cloud-based vendors and provides guidance to those vendors to ensure the confidentiality of the DoD information being accessed.
