Mentoring for a Diverse and Inclusive Workplace

Diversity, equity and inclusion is a mainstream business standard that is impossible to ignore. Avoidance or indifference these days, is a business risk. Whether it’s a failure to get the basics right, lack of a strategy, resistance to an inclusive workplace, or inconsistency, the result is that conditions are not in place for diversity to thrive in many companies.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Few interventions support DEI and the dismantling of systemic inequalities as well as mentorship.

In this whitepaper, we explore what companies need to understand about:

  • the evolution of diversity in the workplace
  • why mentoring matters for an inclusive workplace
  • types of mentoring for DEI
  • how to focus on outcomes over outputs

Organizations are uniquely positioned to address issues of inequality and exclusion. They have a common purpose, shared values and culture, but more importantly the resources and discretion to make an impact. So why not start now?
